The Tustin Area Historical Society proudly presents Former Athletic Director and Coach Bob Michel sharing stories about his days at Tustin High School on Friday night, August 25th from 7 to 8:30 pm at the Tustin Area Museum.
Bob coached football and taught PE/Math from 1966 to 1986. From 1971 to 1981 he was Tustin High’s athletic director.
He was named the CIF Southern Section Athletic Director of the Year in 1981
Bob ran the Tustin Relays, which, during its time, was one of the largest single day track meets in the nation.
Bob also built the little press box that is still standing on the home side of Northrup Stadium.
August’s Night at the Museum starts at 7:00 pm at the Museum, 395 El Camino Real. Tickets for the event are $20 each and must be purchased in advance. Our Night’s usually sell out, so early purchase is recommended. No tickets will be sold at the door.
